U15 JPL girls team vs U13 EJA boys team

Last Tuesday there was a friendly between the CCFC U15 JPL girls team and the CCFC U13 EJA boys team. After a very interesting game it ended 3-1 to the boys after the girls scored first early on in the match.

Some words from Shaun Harrington, manager of the boys team:

‘The game between the EJA u13 boys v u15 JPL girls showcased the talent of both the Cambridge City boys and girls youth set up. The game was competitive, played in the right spirit, with plenty of technical ability on display. A great workout for both teams.’

Some thoughts from Jen Cummings, Secretary of the girls team:

‘The game between the U15 JPL Girls team and the U13 EJA boys team on Tuesday was fantastic. It was an amazing advert for girls football and for links between the 2 clubs. A cracking test for both teams! Close result that could have gone either way. Girls, boys and coaches should be very proud of the way they played.’

It’s great to see both teams coming together and preparing for their seasons.
