Sowden in to strengthen U18s coaching staff

Shaun Sowden has been appointed coach of the U18 and will assist Youth Director Neil Midgely until the end of the season.

Local lad Shaun, is an ex pro with Sheffield Wednesday and played for the likes of Kettering Town, Baldock and Histon before moving into coaching.

He is a vastly experienced coach and is no stranger to developing City youth players. As coach for West Wratting kershaw title winning side last season, several City U18s players were sent there on loan. Also in his last role as manager of step 5 Eynesbury, He worked with City’s young goalkeeper Caleb Chandler who is currently on loan with the United Counties League side.

We are very pleased Shaun has decided to help until the season, his experience and knowledge of the game will be invaluable to our U18s development.
