City get back to winning ways
Sep 15, 2018, 17:20
Cambridge City 2 Coleshill Town 0
Two clinically taken strikes helped City to a welcome three points and ended a three match losing run. The Lilywhites also produced their first clean sheet of the campaign, ably assisted by the inclusion of new defender, Gui Mailancol, who had a solid debut. Ryan Sharman got the ball rolling with a close range finish and James Hall doubled the tally, and City should have had more goals but some less than precise finishing and good goalkeeping kept the score to two...

City left frustrated by Cup defeat
Sep 8, 2018, 17:22
Cambridge City 3 Brightlingsea Regent 4
City suffered a frustrating afternoon as they exited this season's Emirates FA Cup by the odd goal in seven. Having lead twice in the tie, City will be kicking themselves for letting this one get away, ending the game with only ten men following the sending off of Jordan Gent. James Hall gave City the lead only for Brightlingsea to level just before the half hour. City regained the lead just after half time, but the vistors again levelled soon after, then took the lead themselves before popping in a penalty to lead by two, Gent seeing red in the aftermath of the decision. City battled back and Ryan Sharman converted a late penalty to set up a frantic finish, but City could make nothing of a couple of late half chances to complete an unlikely comeback...

League Cup exit at Leiston
Sep 5, 2018, 08:00
Leiston 1 Cambridge City 0
City exited this season's League Cup at the first hurdle last night, going down to a narrow defeat at Leiston. City's James Hall both won and missed a penalty for the visitors as the first half remained goalless. The second period was an equally tight affair with the only goal of the game coming just past the hour mark, Matt Blake finding the target. Despite late pressure from City, they could find no way back into the tie
